Violence Erupts During ANC and EFF Campaigns in Limpopo, Leaving Two Injured

Seshego, Limpopo — A nine-year-old girl and a 25-year-old man were injured during a violent altercation between African National Congress (ANC) and Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) supporters in Seshego. The incident occurred during campaign events and involved gunfire and stone-throwing.
John Mpe, ANC chairperson for the Capricorn region, accused EFF supporters of initiating the attack. EFF Limpopo leader Tshilidzi Maraga is still investigating the matter.
Police spokesperson Hlulani Mashaba confirmed the injuries and reported that police and emergency services responded swiftly, providing immediate assistance and launching an investigation. Several others were also hurt in the melee. Authorities are calling for peaceful campaigning from all parties.
