BREAKING: Three Dead, Four Wounded in Late-Night Shooting at Sandton Restaurant

Sandton was rocked by a violent shooting late last night, leaving three people dead and four others wounded at a local restaurant. The incident, which occurred at approximately 11 p.m., has prompted a full-scale police investigation.
According to preliminary reports, the shooting resulted in the deaths of three individuals, while four others sustained injuries. Among the wounded are two bystanders, a restaurant security guard, and a South African Police Service (SAPS) patrol officer who was on duty at the time.
Police responding to the scene recovered two AK-47 rifles and two handguns. Brigadier Brenda Muridili confirmed that the investigation is ongoing, and as such, the name of the restaurant is being withheld at this time.
A chilling detail has emerged regarding one of the deceased: this individual was reportedly involved in a similar shooting incident at another Sandton restaurant in January 2024. During that prior incident, the same individual, accompanied by two bodyguards, was charged with attempted murder after opening fire within the establishment.
“The investigation is in its early stages, and we are working diligently to piece together the events of last night,” stated Brigadier Muridili. “Our priority is to determine the motive behind this senseless act of violence and bring those responsible to justice.”
No arrests have been made thus far, and police are currently interviewing witnesses to gather more information. The investigation is continuing.
