“Sankofa,” which means “to go back and fetch what’s been left behind,” embodies Mazwai’s commitment to addressing past traumas and seeking healing. “Kulungile” specifically addresses the challenges faced by many individuals in childhood, offering a message of justice, comfort, and healing.
