South African radio personality Thabo Molefe, known to millions as Tbo Touch, is gearing up for the third installment of his heartfelt project, the Replenishment Concert. Scheduled for September 28th at the Supersport Park Stadium in Centurion, the event transcends the realm of a typical concert, offering a spiritual sanctuary for attendees.
Driven by his deep-rooted faith and a desire to uplift others, Tbo Touch sees the Replenishment Concert as an extension of his ministry on Metro FM’s popular “TouchDown” afternoon drive show. The “Replenishment hour” on Mondays provides a space for listeners who might feel ostracized by traditional churches.
“I’m talking to those people on a Monday for an hour to say regardless of how bad your week was, you are strategically placed between last week and the week to come to be the best person right now,” explains Tbo Touch.
The strategic placement of the concert on a Monday highlights the significance of starting the week with intention. “Monday is a powerful day,” he says. “You can speak life or death in your week on how you turn or handle your Mondays.”
The Replenishment Concert has blossomed over the past three years, attracting notable attendees like King Misuzulu Zulu of the Zulu Nation. This year’s lineup boasts a captivating blend of praise and worship performances, along with inspirational talks from international figures like Jamaican minister and Pentecostal bishop Noel Jones. South African gospel icon Dr. Rebecca Malope will be a particular highlight, receiving a special honor during the event.
“Let’s not take it for granted that this iconic mama needs to be honored and acknowledged,” says Tbo Touch, emphasizing the importance of celebrating Dr. Malope’s legacy.
Beyond the music, Tbo Touch prioritizes a holistic experience, incorporating a curated fashion showcase featuring local designers. His vision is to create a space where spirituality and entertainment converge, free from judgement. “Isn’t it beautiful to be hit by a spirit in the place where you are also entertained and nobody’s judging you?” he ponders.
The Replenishment Concert caters to families as well, offering a dedicated kiddies’ section with age-appropriate Bible games and activities overseen by trained caregivers.
“Kids equally leave, spiritually built as you would as a parent,” says Tbo Touch, expressing his confidence in the team creating a nurturing environment for young minds.
