Another Fatal Bus Crash on N1 in Limpopo

A tragic bus accident occurred on the N1 highway in Limpopo province yesterday, resulting in the loss of five lives. The incident took place around 17:30 near the Nyl Plaza Toll Gate.
According to the Limpopo Transport and Community Safety MEC Violet Mathye, the bus was traveling from Johannesburg to Zimbabwe when it overturned. Emergency services were immediately dispatched to the scene, but sadly, five people, (one woman and four men), did not survive. According to Mathye, there are a number of passengers who were taken to hospitals in Mokopane as they had sustained injuries.
The accident has prompted renewed calls for improved road safety measures on the N1 highway, after another accident claimed more than 10 Zimbabwean nationals lives last week outside Makhado.
