ZCC Easter Pilgrimage Returns Strong After Five-Year Hiatus

The Zion Christian Church (ZCC) Easter pilgrimage to Moria made a triumphant comeback this year after a five-year hiatus caused by the COVID-19 epidemic, attracting hundreds of devoted followers to the sacred place. This year’s journey was divided into phases and used almost 500 Putco-operated buses, a considerable drop from the 800 buses that were typically deployed before to the epidemic. Putco’s sophisticated Monitoring Control Centre served as the operation’s framework providing real-time geotracking capabilities as well as onboard CCTV surveillance for each bus. This complicated system was critical for effective coordination, quick incident response, and the safety of thousands of passengers during the voyage.

Further to its spiritual significance, the ZCC Easter pilgrimage served as an important venue for community engagement and economic revitalisation, demonstrating the ZCC community’s togetherness and resilience. Law enforcement conducted extensive searches for illicit guns, drugs, and drunk drivers, as well as stringent identification verification and liquor compliance checks.
