1. Automatic Data Rollover (No Extra Cost)
Currently, many networks only roll over data if you buy a new bundle before the old one expires.

2. “First-In, First-Out” Depletion

The Change: Operators are now legally required to use the oldest bundle first. This ensures you get the full value of what you paid for before the expiry date hits.
3. An End to “Bill Shock”

Strict Opt-In: Once your data is finished, the network must cut off your connection. They are no longer allowed to automatically charge your airtime for data usage unless you have explicitly “opted-in” to out-of-bundle rates.
4. Required Depletion Notifications
To help you manage your budget, networks must now send standardized notifications. You will receive alerts when you have used:

5. Bundle Transfers
You will gain the right to transfer data, voice, or SMS bundles to other users on the same network. ICASA has ruled that networks cannot place unfair limits on how many times you transfer or the amount you send.
