Leading Candidates To Replace Klopp Exclude Roberto De Zerbi

Brighton’s coach, Roberto De Zerbi, isn’t seen as one of the top choices to be the next manager of Liverpool. He was initially on a list of possible replacements, but Liverpool is now looking at other options.
Roberto De Zerbi isn’t one of the top choices to take over from Jurgen Klopp as Liverpool’s manager.
The Brighton head coach was initially looked at by the current Premier League leaders as they started searching for Jurgen Klopp’s successor. However, Liverpool’s focus has shifted to other candidates, and De Zerbi is no longer their main consideration.
As per Sky Germany, Roberto De Zerbi and Julian Nagelsmann are leading candidates for the Bayern Munich manager’s position, especially since Xabi Alonso has decided to stay at Bayer Leverkusen.
Bayern’s sporting director Max Eberl holds Brighton manager De Zerbi in high regard, and it’s reported that De Zerbi has an exit clause ranging from €10m to €15m (R201m to R302,9m).
Last week, De Zerbi raised uncertainty about his future with Brighton by not confirming his commitment to the Seagulls for the next season. He mentioned his intention to discuss his next steps with the club owner, Tony Bloom.
When questioned if he could reassure Brighton fans about staying at the club for the next season, De Zerbi responded, “I have a different approach to deciding my future.”
“I want to speak with my club, I have a contract, but the problem is not the contract – the problem is to find the same plan, the same target, the same vision for the future. For me, I have not decided yet what is my future, because I have the contract, but anyway I want to speak with Tony [Bloom], my club, to understand their plan, to understand his plan, the Tony plan. Then we take the decision together, without problems.”
“The future I want to keep my ambition, my motivation, I live for football 24 hours a day, I want to know what is the plan, what is the project, what is the future because if I don’t feel comfortable, I don’t feel the right motivation, I can’t stay any longer.”
Last week, Alonso decided against leaving Bayer Leverkusen, stating to reporters that he had weighed his choices but had already informed the club and players of his decision during the international break.
