Young South African Shines at Miss World South Africa and Sets Sights on Global Crown

Zoalize Jansen van Rensburg, an 18-year-old rising star from South Africa, dazzled the audience at the Miss World South Africa pageant held at Sun City on Saturday, October 5. This young trailblazer is now poised to represent South Africa on the grand stage of the 72nd Miss World pageant, scheduled for February 2025. Carol Bouwer, President of the Miss World South Africa Organisation, expressed her immense joy over Zoalize’s victory, highlighting that pageants such as Miss World celebrate not only grace and diversity but also elegance, beauty, talent, inner beauty, and charisma. Bouwer praised Zoalize for her unwavering confidence, intelligence, and diligence—qualities she believes are fundamental for any contestant.

Bouwer also acknowledged runner-up Nande Mabala for her role in elevating the glamour and excitement of the event, lauding her noteworthy efforts. She emphasized that Zoalize embodies much more than physical beauty; she is a deserving, grounded, and intelligent young woman who inspires with her unique grace and charm.

Zoalize captivated the judges with her “Beauty with a Purpose” project and her “Never Too Young to Advocate” (NTYTA) initiative. This digital platform is dedicated to amplifying the voices of the youth on a global scale. She articulated her vision of harnessing the power of social media to enrich her community with mental resilience and self-empowerment, which she considers vital for recognizing the potential of young individuals. Significantly, the “Beauty with a Purpose” initiative is a core element of the Miss World competition, with each contestant required to develop and present their project.
