The Dome is Back! New Era of Live Entertainment Dawns in Jozi
Johannesburg, South Africa – A new chapter in Johannesburg’s live entertainment scene is set to unfold with the grand opening of The Dome in Nasrec, adjacent to the iconic FNB Stadium, in January 2025. This state-of-the-art venue, boasting a capacity of over 10,500, is poised to become the go-to destination for concerts, conferences, exhibitions, and more.
The Dome’s revival comes after the closure of the Ticketpro Dome in 2021 due to the pandemic. The new venue, a collaborative effort between Live Nation, Stadium Management SA, and Gearhouse SA, promises to redefine the live entertainment experience in South Africa.
A Homegrown Marvel Entirely designed, manufactured, and built in South Africa, The Dome offers over 6,000 square meters of versatile space, making it suitable for a wide range of events. This ambitious project aims to revitalize the local live events industry and drive economic growth in the region.
A Stellar Lineup Nigerian superstar Tems is among the first confirmed acts to grace the stage at The Dome, with her “Born in the Wild” solo headline show scheduled for March 20, 2025.
