Who Is NE-YO? (A Quick Reminder, In Case You Needed One)
Born Shaffer Chimere Smith in Camden, Arkansas, NE-YO is one of the most decorated and versatile artists in contemporary R&B. His debut single, 2005’s So Sick, hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and was certified quadruple platinum – announcing the arrival of an artist who would go on to reshape the sound of a generation.
His own discography reads like a greatest hits collection of early 21st century R&B: Sexy Love, Closer, Because of You, Miss Independent, Push Back (featuring Bebe Rexha and Stefflon Don), and his latest single Miss Tundra. Combined, NE-YO’s catalogue has generated 23 billion streams worldwide – a number that tells you everything you need to know about the reach and staying power of his music.

For Pretoria and Gauteng audiences, the Sunbet Arena at Times Square Casino has established itself as one of the country’s premier concert venues.
