Hold onto your sides, folks! South Africa’s media darling, Minnie Dlamini, is about to get roasted hotter than a braai on a summer’s day. Yep, the Laugh Africa Comedy Festival and Showmax are teaming up for “The Showmax Roast of Minnie Dlamini,” and it promises to be a laugh riot.
The comedians lining up to playfully poke fun at Minnie are a hilarious bunch. We’re talking roasters like Siv Ngesi, the guy who can make anything funny, and the legendary Penny Lebyane, whose comedic timing is sharper than a freshly sharpened pencil. But wait, there’s more! The whole thing will be double-helmed by comedy giants Tumi Morake and Jason Goliath – so you know Minnie won’t escape unscathed!
Minnie herself seems to be taking it all in stride. and seemingly relishes the opportunity to set the record straight on a few issues.
“I may also get an opportunity to dispel many of the rumours told about me. The roast is fundamentally a celebration of my career and there’s nothing I love more than a good laugh.”
