Hope dwindles in search for missing Cape Town fishermen

The initial reports indicated 20 crew members were on board when the fishing vessel went down. Thankfully, 9 fishermen were rescued by a nearby vessel after being found clinging to a life raft. However, the fate of the remaining 11 crew members remains unknown.
“This is a desperate situation,” said NSRI spokesperson Craig Lambinon. “Our thoughts are with the families of the missing men during this difficult time. We are deploying all available resources in hopes of a successful rescue.”
The cause of the vessel sinking is still under investigation.
