Breakthrough in Nelspruit: 35-Year-Old Man Arrested with Weapons Cache and Suspected Stolen Goods. Authorities in Nelspruit have scored a major win, arresting a 35-year-old man after uncovering a stash of firearms, ammunition, and items suspected to be stolen. This bold move sends a clear message in the fight against crime.

On Wednesday, a powerful alliance between the police, the Mpumalanga Tracking Team, Fidelity Security, and Divergent Security delivered results. This coordinated operation demonstrated the strength of teamwork in tackling crime head-on.

Mpumalanga police, acting on gathered intelligence, secured a search warrant for a house in Valencia, Nelspruit. Brigadier Donald Mdhluli confirmed that the operation was sparked by evidence pointing to illegal activities at the location.

When officers arrived at the scene, the suspect made a desperate move to avoid capture, barricading himself inside by locking the doors. However, his efforts to flee justice were quickly thwarted.

Despite the suspect’s attempts to block them, officers successfully gained access to the property. Inside, they uncovered a shocking haul: a rifle, two shotguns, a pistol, a .38 revolver, and a significant stockpile of ammunition. Alongside the weapons, they found jewelry, luxury wristwatches, and brand-new, sealed mobile phones, including iPhones, Samsung Galaxy models, and Huawei Novas, according to Brigadier Donald Mdhluli.

Authorities also confiscated two vehicles during the operation—a silver Toyota Cross and a white Toyota Etios. The seized firearms are set to undergo ballistic analysis to uncover any connections to past criminal activities, while investigators suspect the recovered items might be stolen.
